Volunteering with the Trust
Volunteers are an important part of our organisation; all our Directors are volunteers. Not only because a volunteer can bring their skills and experience to help create positive change for the people we support and the Trust, but also because volunteering can provide opportunities to learn something new and build confidence. We are always looking for new ways to enrich the lives of all our residents. So, if you have any skills you would like to put to good use, or if you have any spare time you can give, then we would love to hear from you through our contact page.
We are looking to establish small groups of volunteers who could help us with;
Gardening Projects – our gardens are the source of great pleasure and pride across the organisation – we have won awards both locally and regionally, for our efforts. If you have green fingers and would like to help, please get in touch.
Fundraising – Particularly with regard to our wonderful 16th-century Chapels. Both are listed, both are central to the very fabric of the town of Tiverton, both require significant upkeep. If you have any ideas please let us know.
Marketing and helping to raise our profile – the Trust often receives comments from Tivertonians along the lines of “I never knew this was here” or “I wondered what was beyond that gate” can you help raise our profile?
Assisting in arranging events – Can you spare a couple of hours to entertain at an event, help us collect food, set up for larger events, any commitment is considered a benefit. Please do get in touch.
History collation – Are you a local historian or just someone that has wealth of local knowledge and would like to help collate our history, we would like to hear how you might be able to help us.
Director – Are you interested in Governance and have a skillset or experience that might be of use, please let us know, drop along for a chat, come and see what we do and put your name forward for consideration.
